As my friends know, I came back from San Francisco to reconnect with family and lend a helping hand.

I spent a fantastic year and a half in Manhattan, working for Giorgio Armani to launch a global ecommerce business: www.emporioarmani.com.

We opened our doors in August 2007 in the US, and launched the European operations in the following June.

Mr. Armani decided to consolidate all ecommerce in Milan at year end 2008. I became a free agent in January 2009 and spent the first half of the year on some family issues.

And Now, FINANCE!

Since June of 2009, I've been working at Watts Capital Partners, an Investment Advisory firm in Manhattan. Tom Watts runs the firm, and, in addition to being one of the smartest people I've ever met, is a world-class human being.  No, it's not fashion ecommerce, but I'm using my start-up mindset as we work on building the business.  (I could also argue vertical integration as the hedgie fellows I see running around certainly have dropped some cash on luxury Italian suits). And yes, I *was* a commercial lender right out of college, so how is that for Deja Vu?
