Rolling home

A wonderful rare full day/evening in London, running a workshop, meeting a friend for coffee, and joining Women in Publishing for their Christmas party and awards evening. It was a wonderful surprise to find myself shortlisted for the Pandora Award this year, and I’ll treasure my Highly Commended certificate. Justine Solomons of Byte the Book was runner up and Kate Wilson of Nosy Crow won this prestigious award. There was a poignant tribute to former winner Carole Blake, who died earlier this year, and a stirring reminder from Kate in her acceptance speech about how far we still have to go to achieve gender equality, particularly in publishing.

Days like today I realise how lucky I am to do a job I love, working with such wonderful clients, in an industry populated by so many brilliant, funny, interesting women.
