It’s a big day for Practical Inspiration Publishing: the publication of the first book on the list to have come out of the 10-day Business Book Proposal Challenge.
Thriving Abroad: The definitive guide to professional and personal relocation success by Louise Wiles and Evelyn Simpson was joint winner of the very first Challenge almost exactly one year ago, in June 2016, and it’s a great honour to be publishing their book now, a book that I know will help individuals and families all around the world make the most of their relocation opportunity.
From my perspective, it’s also the first book that I’ve published under the traditional model (ie at my own expense, with exclusive assignation of rights), which is an exciting development for the list, with several more in the pipeline.
On days like this, when there’s a brilliant new book in the world and it’s partly down to me, it’s hard to imagine a better job than being a publisher.
